Over 60’s Report
Kent suffered a disappointing defeat to Essex in the second round of the over 60’s Inter County competition with an overall score line of 101-132. All three rinks at home lost their matches, but two of the away rinks narrowly won their matches with the third going down heavily. Congratulations to Essex as they were definitely the better side on the day and appeared to have had added a few more players to their squad from last year when we defeated them quite easily.

Over 60's Match Report

Friday 7th November 2014 2:14pm | General

Kent played Middlesex in the Over 60’s Inter County competition on 7th November with three rinks at Mote Park and three rinks at the Lawns in Enfield. Two of the home rinks won their matches and the third lost by only two shots. At Enfield all three rinks won their matches with an overall score of 73-28 at that venue. The choice of venue was probably to give some home advantage to Middlesex as it offered very little more and the green was quite heavy with some difficult lines to overcome. As it turned out we found it better than the host and with an overall score line of 159-75 we now move on to face Essex in the next round with games at Mote Park and Barking.
